Design Statement} A home made out of shipping containers was created for the Vinnacota family in Perth, Australia. The residence is designed to provide shelter for the family. Due to a hurricane off the coast of India, the family and thousands others were forced to relocate. The home mimics the clever use of minimalism and a style that closely resembles the family’s culture and history.

The design scope is as follows: mother’s bedroom suite, jack-and-jill bathroom, two sons’ bedroom, daughter’s bedroom with a nursery, three closets, laundry, reading nook area, bathroom, half bathroom, kitchen, dining room, and living room. Ultimately, the design goal of this project is meant for the end-clientele to be able to rebuild their finances, while becoming adjusted to their new environment and home with comfort and simplicity.
